Application for Plot(s) at Driftwood Cemetery
The Driftwood Cemetery has served the Driftwood community since 1884. The Driftwood Cemetery Association, founded in the 1940s, operates the cemetery pursuant to its organizational bylaws and is dedicated to the preservation and maintenance of the cemetery. Eligibility requirements that must be satisfied before a plot may be secured in the cemetery are set forth in the bylaws and are generally stated below. Final authority to determine eligibility is vested in the DCA Board of Directors.
General Eligibility and Plot Fee:
- Current or past residents of the Driftwood area, defined as the area designated as the U.S. Postal Service 78619 zip code, and along RM 967 from RR 1826 to the 101 gate.
- Parents and direct descendants of those buried in the Driftwood Cemetery.
- Those who do not otherwise qualify, but who are active members in either of the Driftwood churches or the Driftwood Historical Conservation Society.
- The fee is $750 per plot (which must be received before final application approval).
